Before we begin, get to know us a little better…
So, to start off, we’re Paul and Alice Evans, both originally from Guilsfield and we’re father and daughter! We’re both so passionate about dogs, and always have been. We care for and treat your beloved dogs as we do our own.
Paul is a qualified dog and puppy trainer and Alice has so far completed her Canine First aid and Loose Lead Walking training. We’re both fully insured, and bring these documents to meet & greets.
Paul:
Paul lives in Guilsfield with his wife Elaine and their two Greek rescue dogs, Bonnie & Liza.
After leaving school, Paul became an apprentice at Shrewsbury Town Football Club. He went on to play professional football in New Zealand.
Paul worked in Insurance, then Charity Fundraising before a dream career change of working with dogs in 2021.
Paul loves watching sport, reading, bird watching, gardening and listening to music - his favourites being Leonard Cohen, Dolly Parton, Billy Joel and Dr Hook.
Alice:
Alice lives in Welshpool with her partner Matt, and 3 French Bulldogs - Peppa, Connie & Tyson.
Alice has an Education degree and previously worked in schools, specifically a specialist school with children with additional needs, before working 12 months at her last job as a residential care worker in a children’s home.
Alice joined Paul in June 2023 to offer dog walking & pet sitting. Alongside working at Evans’ Happy Hounds, Alice also does private respite care for a wonderful young man with additional needs and does the occasional shift in the children’s care home.
Alice enjoys reading, going to watch live music, exploring new places and cuddling up with her dogs to watch films!
